Jambo Mariam,
It was lovely to have met you and all of the other lovely staff at Pinewood
Village.
We are now back into the swing of things back home, back to work etc.
Weather here is about 10 degrees in the day and obviously cooler at
night although they have said we are in for a really cold spell, oh
to be back at Pinewood.
We haven't put anything on Tripadvisor yet as we need to sort out what
photos to put on there but rest assured we will give a glowing report
as we enjoyed ourselves so much and hope to return in the not too distant
future.
Thanks for all your help whilst we were there, give our regards to Pamela
and Ronnie also.
Bi for now.

Hi Pinewood
I am emailing to say thank you to everyone for making our holiday most
enjoyable, we stayed in room 192 which had a most fantastic view and
the service we received was next to none, we would like to mention Pamela
on reception, Esther Odida and Christopher in name as there service
was over and above what was excepted. Although we have mentioned the
above names ALL the staff we met are a credit to your hotel, so if you
hold a team briefing i would dearly like you to say a Big Thank you
to all, as they are all important and sometimes get forgotton, even
down to the maintenance staff and gardeners. If you could pass a hello
over to pamela for me as we promised we would email and say hello, tell
her that papa is now on a diet, she will understand.
Kind regards
Carolyn and Shane

Subject: Great holiday at Pinewood
Hi Mr Chawanga,
My family spent 7 days at Pinewood from 21 Sept. to 28 Sept 2007 in
rooms 81 & 82. I would just like to thank you and all your staff
for making our time at Pinewood absolutely fantastic. I would have thanked
you in person, but you were making sure a wedding on the beach was going
well when we were collected for Mombasa airport. The rooms were spacious,
comfortable, airconditioned and well kept. The pool and bar my personal
favourite, not to mention the pizzas' amongst the best I have ever eaten.
The food was always of the highest standard, and a great variety. Your
staff were incredibly efficient and helpful at all times, without any
exceptions.
And the beach was superb! Your associates at SX Scuba were fantastic!
When we did have a minor problem with the Wet & Wild Jetski operator,
you immediately stepped in and sorted it out for us.
Thank you and all at Pinewood. We will be back some day.
regards
Bob, Gill, Kieran and Cathleen

To whom it may concern,
We have recently returned from a fortnight trip to Kenya and had the
foresight to stay at your hotel for 10 days. Our party names were Anne
Gibbons and Graham Taylor room 141 and 142.
We really felt that we must congratulate you and staff on such a lovely
hotel and service that you provided. My partner and I travel a great
deal and although your hotel is not the most luxurious and the food
sometimes needs improving the quality of your staff and the hotel is
excellent .A number of your staff really stand out and must be praised
x 2 lady receptionists - what joy they are and nothing is too
much trouble for them .Please could you inform the one lady(with glasses
apologies I cannot remember her name) that my son did extremely well
in his exams and that her fingers crossed must have worked. They were
both good fun and very hard working- never showed signs that guests
were troublesome and always offered fantastic service- a lesson for
English receptionists.
Jimmy and Mac in the beach bar at night- such nice men, looked
after us so well- remembered our likes and dislikes and just looked
after us. Please thank them so much.
Nixon the chef - fantastic service always smiles and greets
you and nothing too much trouble.
Esther- well how can Esther's service be praised correctly? She
is so wonderful with your guests, remembers names, always smiles, extremely
patient and polite, considerate and very professional. Our sons loved
her to bits but so did we..... she truly worked wonders with our youngest
boy and finally managed to get him to eat a full meal and all his vegetables.
I think she is wasted in the restaurant and needs a more full role. What
a lovely lady .I would be so grateful if you could let Esther know that
we send our love and miss her.If it would be ok please pass on my email
address but if not please please thank her for us.
Our stay in Kenya was wonderful and we certainly shall be recommending
your hotel to our friends and families.
Many many thanks
Anne
Dear Sir/Madam,
We just wanted to send an email to thank you and praise the hotel for
every part of our holiday to Kenya. We will always remeber this as a
magical holiday for the rest of our lives. We would like to mention
someone who really made the holiday extra special for us by going that
bit
further out of the way:
Nixon our chef at Pinewood village. Nixon was so kind and helpful. He
would share time with us and he would go out of his way to make sure that
we were happy and comfortable. Nixon would always make sure that
everything was perfect and was a really kind person to talk to.
We hope you are able to pass on our thanks to Nixon and we look forward
to
staying with you again,
Date of our stay: 26th July - 2nd August in room 190 (suite)

Dear Ronnie

the professionalism of your staff the spacious accomadationall went to
make this our best holiday ever.
That is no mean achievement when you Know that our group have travelled
round the world and have had in our lifetime hundreds of holidays.
From the Johnson's Owens and Veales Suites 140,160,170.
Thanks again good luck for the future
Tom Johnson
Dear Sir,
First of all I would like to thank you for a fantastic holiday, wedding
and honeymoon combined!
Every aspect of our stay was perfect, from the food to the accommodation
and of course, last but not least, the staff.
It is on this subject that we would like to draw attention to one individual
who we believe made our holiday experience what it was. Changawa! He
was responsible for arranging and managing proceedings for our wedding
on August 2nd. Shortly after arrival we were introduced to Changawa
and he took us through the process of getting married at Pinewood and
told us exactly what was required of us. He made the whole process pain
free and ensured that our every request was taken care of, ultimately
leading to what can only be described as the perfect day! Even though
he was probably more stressed than we were, he always greeted us with
a smile and made us feel like we were his only clients!
Changawa constantly went beyond the call of duty and on the one occasion
we did encounter a problem (namely, the photographer and his sidekick),
he ensured that we received due recompense and resolved the situation
without further fuss or disappointment.
If I could name one fault, it would be his volleyball skills, but alas,
no one’s perfect! ;-)
Suffice it to say that we would heartily recommend Pinewood to anyone
and have already vowed that we will return in the future to celebrate
an anniversary!
Thanks again.
Daniel Donoghue and Rebecca Jones (now Donoghue of course!)

Dear All
Just to say a big thank you to everybody for making our holiday and
wedding so special - we really enjoyed it and appreciate all the hard
work that went on behind the scenes. As before when we visited in 2005
we found all the staff to be very helpful and friendly and it was lovely
to see some old faces i.e Jimmy, Wycliffe, Duncan etc.
A special thanks to Mr C for organising everything and to Nixon our
chef who cooked us some fantastic meals - dinner just hasn't been the
same since!
Many thanks again.
Hope to see you all soon.
Best wishes
Nikki & Tony Sherwood

Subject: HAYES/McGLINCHEY WEDDING
Dear All,
Just a quick note to thank you all for the wonderful job you did on
our wedding, and our glorious three week stay with you.
We cannot say enought good things about Pinewood. We've travelled around
the world and always stayed in the best hotels, however your beats them
all. The level of service from the management to the serving staff to
the cleaners was incredible. The friendliness of everyone and the genuine
willingness to help is a rare thing to find.
The wedding was incredibly organized. The only complaint that our guests
had was that they hadn't booked to stay in Pinewood, a mistake they
intend to rectify next time in Kenya. In fact most of them spend their
second week visiting us in Pinewood. I'd like to add an special thank
you to our chef Evans who was wonderful, Pamela for all her help and
friendship, McCarthy for going above and beyond at the bar and of course
Changwa for the best wedding we could possibly imagine.
Pictures from our wedding can be found at
http://picasaweb.google.com/liamandsorcha
and we will shortly be putting information on Pinewood on our wedding
website at
www.liamandsorcha.com <http://www.liamandsorcha.com>
Thank you again and if there's anything we can do for you, please don't
hesitate to contact us. We hope to see you all soon again.
Kindest regards
Liam and Sorcha McGlinchey

Subject: Marcia and Lou are home safely!
Ronnie,
Just to let you
know that Lou and Marcia arrived home safely at 4:30pm eastern time.
The weather here in Tampa Bay is cool compared to Pinewood, 45 degrees
at night and 70 degrees during the day. It was quite adjustment after
the beautiful hot weather in Kenya.
Lou and I want
to thank you and your wonderful staff for an absolutely fabulous time
while we stayed at Pinewood Village.
We were impressed
with everthing at Pinewood, from the delicious fruit drink offered to
us upon arriveal at 2:30 am, to the staffs willingness to attend to
our every wish.
We wish you much
luck at Pinewood Village during your time as General Manager and hope
you will keep in touch with us.
Sending fond regards to you and your staff. Give our regards also to
the owners.
Most sincerely,
Marcia Roth and Lou Bonds
